Programs & Information
The weekly reading program is free of charge and open to children from birth to 5 year old. It runs during the school year from September through May. Story time begins at 10:15 AM and continues until approximately 11 AM.

The TumbleBookLibrary is a collection of TumbleBooks(animated, talking picture books) with fiction, non-fiction and foreign language titles, Read-Alongs (chapter books with sentence highlighting and narration but no animation),TumbleTVwhich consists of pre-set playlists of a sequence of books, and Tumble Puzzles & Games.
TumbleBooks are created from existing picture books which are licensed from children’s book publishers and converted to the TumbleBook format. Click here to use Tumblebooks Library.
Summer Library Program
The preschooler through 6th grade 2017 Summer Library Program, Build a Better World @ the Green Free Library, will run from June 21, 2017 — August 2, 2017.

This year will be the last year counting reading minutes. But everyone who visits the library during the summer will get a chance(s) to win one of our special prize buckets (one for each level — PreK, K-6, Teen, and Adult).
PreK-6th grader reading minutes will begin June 21st and end on July 26th. All reading logs must be submitted by July 26th.
Reading minutes for all levels will be done on paper this year — no online logging of minutes.
Teen and Adult Summer Library Programs
Teen (grades 7-12) program runs from June 11th – August 15th.

Adult program runs from June 11th – August 15th.
Just read during the summer and log your minutes to win prizes. If you are part of our book club or any other book club, those minutes count!
- The Children’s Room houses books for preschoolers through second graders. Some DVDs, multimedia kits, and music are also available. The train set, activity center, and other hands-on materials are also found in this location.
- The Robinson Room has two computers with educational software available for children ages 10 and under.
- Nonfiction and fiction books for juveniles and young adults are in separate locations in the Robinson Room. Some audiobooks are also available for these ages groups.
- DVDs and videos for youth are available in the Main Room of the library.
