Accessing Your Account

  • Clear your cache on your Internet browser if you have used the catalog previously under the former Millennium system.
  • Click on the “Catalog” button on the Navigation bar found on the left of our website, www.greenfreelibrary.org.
  • Go to the upper right of the Evergreen page where it reads “Log in.”
  • Enter the barcode from the back of your library barcode, including the GFL prefix (case-sensitive).
  • Enter password that the library gives you. Call 570-724-4876 for the password, if you did not already receive it.

Under Your Account

There are many options available to you under the "Your Account" area on the right side of the page. These options included:

  • Favorites
  • Checkout Items
  • Holds and Recalls
  • Fines
  • Profile
  • Your Saved Searches

Please check your profile to confirm the information. If incorrect, please contact the library at 570-724-4876. Remember to select "Green Free (Wellsboro)" as your Pickup Library.

Searching The Catalog

  • Click on “Catalog” button on our website, www.greenfreelibrary.org.
  • In the middle of the page where it reads “Type Library name,” type “Green Free”, choose “Green Free Library (Wellsboro).”  This should only be needed to be done the first time accessing the Catalog unless you change the search parameters (scope settings). 
  • In the box under “HLSC Evergreen System,” enter search term; select “Title,” “Author,” “Subject” or other categories.
  • Hit “Find” to be taken to items matching the category.
  • NOTE: You may see items from other libraries; look for “Green Free Library (Wellsboro)” label after item title. If you want to place an item on hold, follow instructions below.

Renewing Items

  • Click on the "Catalog" button.
  • Log in as noted above.
  • Click on “Checked Out Items” to view what you have checked out.
  • Click the box to the left of the title/titles you want to renew.
  • Click on “Renew Selected Items.”
  • If you see note, “This item cannot be renewed,” the reasons may be that the item already has been renewed twice and you already have the maximum allowed renewals, another patron has placed a hold on the item, or you may have fines or overdues exceeding the allowed maximum.

Placing Items On Hold

  • Search via the Catalog for an item you want. See “Searching on the Catalog” above.
  • Once you have the record up, scroll to the bottom, and in “Status” column, you will click on “Place A Hold.”
  • Make sure your e-mail or phone number is correct, and click on “Submit Request.”
  • You then will see the item in your holds screen.
