Borrowing
Borrowing Privileges
Books, audio books, and music CDs may
be checked out for three weeks. Videotapes, DVDs, and back
issues of magazines circulate for one week, with no renewals. Other items may be renewed in person, by the computer, or on
the phone, as long as there are no holds or fines on the items.
Overdue Materials
Overdue charges are 10 cents per item
per day. Patrons are also charged the replacement costs for
lost, unreturned, and damaged materials. Service charge for
overdue videos/DVDs is $1.00 per item per day. During inclement weather, fines are waived only when the library is closed.
Collection
The library holds more than 52,000 items
including fiction, non-fiction, reference, large print,
young adult, and children's books. Also included are audio
books on tape, CD, MP3, and Playaway formats, music CDs, and videotapes and DVDs. The library subscribes to more than 100
periodicals and newspapers.
Membership
Green Free Library cards are free and available to
residents of Pennsylvania. A valid PA driver's license or
citizen ID is required. A parent or guardian must sign, in
person, for the application of a child under seventeen. The
library honors Access PA cards, and out-of-state residents,
with photo ID, may obtain a temporary card for a fee
of $25, refundable by mail, when the card is returned.
